This responsibility meant that he spent a considerable amount of time next to the president, giving him a unique perspective on the Clinton administration. This is certainly not the first anti-Clinton book, but it is different in that Patterson does not seem to have a political ax to grind.
A definite must-read, especially the timeline appendix – Derellction never understood how much China directly benefited from the Clinton years until I read this timeline and then confirmed the data on the internet.
Read about how he was too busy playing golf to give the kill order against bin laden. While we heard many stories of the president and his wife during and after his term in office, the few behind the scenes eyewitness accounts of their interaction brings levity to a read I found hard to digest through my anger. Needless to say, after reading the book, it was difficult at times to put my little boy to sleep at night, as it made me ponder our s I met the author of this book a few years ago and was quite impressed with his story and dedication to his position. Finally, there is something distasteful about a soldier assigned to protect the president writing if he really wrote this a “tell-all” book after his assignment.
