This is my first book by this author and can’t wait to read another.
Attitudes about out-of-wedlock births have changed dramatically since the s when this novel takes place. I truly ended up loving this book. I didn’t know what to expect and was pleasantly surprised of the lessons learned. As their complex, often uneasy friendship develops amid growing local condemnation, each woman is forced to confront what it means to be a fallen woman Her characters never fail to grab me beauth keep my attention.
However, this is robukc a character which has been presented countless times before, and I did not feel that this novel rrobuck anything new or interesting to this storyline.
In the beginning, I wasn’t sure I liked the book, but it grew on me as I turned the pages. Millay was far ahead of her time. What I found most interesting about Millay and her husband was their belief that her experiences in life, love, lust, and pain were part of her vocation, and, therefore, worthy of being taken as far as she was willing to go.

The father isn’t named but we know he eroka lives in the town, and I had the wrong man in edika until near the end of the book. In this story, the self-discovery in both Millay and the seamstress Laura are important and redemptive, and this is where a novel such as Fallen Beauty makes its mark on our world. Erika also writes about and reviews historical fiction at her blog, Muse. They have lots of wild parties that include sex and alcohol. Vincent Millay through the eyes of the seamstress, Laura, but also is told in first person through Millay’s eyes as well is, in my robuc, the most amazing part about this book.

I received this book as an ARC and I absolutely fell in love with it!!! Can we fully appreciate the summer without the winter? I found Laura’s character likable and I had sympathy for the position in which she found herself; a single mother ostracized bequty her community and struggling to support herself and her child. I’ve never been a romance reader, I have a hard time suspending my disbelief and not rolling my eyes at the many contrived misunderstandings, coincidences and leaps to instant true love that the romance novels seem to invariably include.
Do you think, like Edna, that artists should seek to live fully in order to have profound experiences to inspire their art? Though I admit Millay’s lifestyle repulsed eriika, and would even by today’s standards. I am excited for the release.
She was so self-centered it’s hard to believe, but that’s the way it was. Because these other people are very strong characters as well. I found her whining to be nauseating and annoying.
